So here are the lunches for Saturday and Sunday!
For Saturday Lunch
Tossed green Salad,
Sliced fresh Fruit,
Roast Sirloin of Beef (carved in room) includes lightly breaded breast of Chicken Dijon,
Beef Stroganoff with Egg noodles,
Fresh Vegetables and rolls & Butter
For Sunday Lunch
We have a pretty good idea on what Sunday menu will be. We will finalize (in Jan2016) the menu once have a better idea on number of attendee. It will be similar to Saturday lunch with traveling in mind. What we got so far.
For Saturday Dinner,
$50!!!! We still working on that. We want great quality of food and wine. If you sign up and don’t like where we are going then we will just refund you. Why $50? Dinner with wine and not fast food or take out, we’re talking excellent cuisine and a lot of it. (Last year was a family style pasta dinner with 6+ courses of top quality pastas and several appetizer and dessert courses).
The reason why TSHFT is including lunches again. TSHFT is getting bigger so in order to have a clear/better winner TSHFT really need to expand to 6 rounds, which means TSHFT need to find more time. The best way make time is to serve lunches, to make a quicker lunch turn around rather than playing extremely late into the evening or late on Sunday. To avoid Chinese takeout (which isn’t actually an option with hotel catering), $30 is needed to make that happen.
First 80 signups from 40k and Kings of War will get a dice cube with the following TSHFT Open dice! Get your ticket soon!
Growing significantly from over 100 people has caused some scheduling issues. This has been alleviated by having lunch provided as a buffet style for all participants to ensure you can get your meals in an extremely timely manner so that you can get back to playing as soon as possible so we aren’t playing until the late hours at night. This included lunch has added significantly to the cost. August TSHFT was $60 so we’re including 2 meals for only $30 extra. Now that’s a bit higher than your typical fast food restaurant, but we’re restricted in bringing in outside food by the venue. As it stands the cost of food will be over the $15/meal but we’re baking in some of those costs into the base ticket price so that we can keep the costs as low as possible without any one in particular having to pay out of pocket to ensure the event happens.
I hope that you all decide to still come and that you see the value of having two meals included allowing for a quick lunch turnaround so that you can get back to action and get all the required games in to properly establish one clear winner.
Feel free to comment here!
Clear your calendars, TSHFT Open January 2016 is booked for January 16-17th at the Coast Bellevue Hotel.
Hope to see you all there!
Here is the new August 2015 40k Player Pack!
TSHFT is saddened to say, but the current state of 8th edition has created a situation whereby we have NO people signed up to play fantasy. Without any seemingly possible to hit even 20 guys, it just doesn’t warrant the costs associated with a tournament that is giving away 3 cruise tickets.
We are currently in the works of transitioning the WHFB space over to Warmachine and we’ve got a Press Ganger on board to run the event. Rules and sales are live!
You wanted more blocking terrain and we listented!
Here are some pictures of some of the stuff we’ve already gotten and what we’re also working on.
We’re hoping to have 150-200 new tall blocking terrain for August TSHFT. We already have over 50 finished new pieces in our hands right now!
